Where to find Siftite ore
Look for Siftite ore in Siftslate inside Mielon’s The Sift, with a Netherite or Siftite pickaxe. This guide uses the author’s 1.1.2 Fabric 26.2 release, FjiiWlMl. Its ore-generation settings place the start positions between Y=0 and Y=15, uniformly across that range.
That range describes the configured starting positions, rather than a measured best mining level. The ore feature has a size setting of 8; terrain and replacement rules determine the blocks that actually form. Finding one exposed block does not guarantee an eight-block vein.
The feature replaces Siftslate, so search that rock rather than ordinary Overworld stone. Enter using Mielon’s portal song before starting the mining trip. For the material’s recipes and finished tools, use Siftite.
Recognize Siftslate Siftite Ore
The block’s full name is Siftslate Siftite Ore, with ID the_sift:siftslate_siftite_ore. Compare its flecked texture with the plain Siftslate beside it:
The same release includes the ore feature in ten biome files. These are places whose generation includes the feature, rather than guaranteed ore sites:

Use the Siftslate guide to identify the surrounding rock, or Ichor Snowy Peaks for that biome’s separate resources. The ore settings belong to the named mod release; a Dungeons II location guide describes a different game.
Which pickaxe and enchantment should you use?
Bring a Netherite or Siftite pickaxe. The release puts this ore in the pickaxe-mining tag and also in incorrect_for_diamond_tool. A diamond pickaxe is therefore a poor choice for collecting it, even though the block also appears in a diamond-level requirement tag.
Choose the enchantment for the item you want to carry home:

The loot table checks Silk Touch first. That branch gives the block instead of entering the Fortune nugget branch. Bringing home ore blocks with Silk Touch is a storage choice; it has not yet supplied the nuggets for your ingot.
Collect nuggets for your first upgrade
One Siftite Ingot needs nine Siftite Nuggets. For a material run:
- Enter The Sift with the right pickaxe and space for nuggets.
- Search Siftslate around the version’s configured generation range. Mine the ore without Silk Touch if you want nuggets immediately.
- Count the nuggets, then fill the Crafting Table’s nine slots to make an ingot.
Your ore trip supplies the metal. The upgrade also needs a Siftite Upgrade Smithing Template, obtained through Abandoned Portal loot. Those structures can also contain rare nuggets. Keep the template search as a separate task; finding ore does not supply a template automatically.

Is Siftite ore in vanilla Minecraft?
Siftite ore on this page belongs to Mielon’s The Sift mod. It is not an ore you can mine in an unmodified Java or Bedrock world covered by these instructions. Check your installed project and release before following its mining settings.
What Y level is Siftite ore at?
The 1.1.2 Fabric 26.2 release configures its ore-generation starting positions uniformly from Y=0 to Y=15. This is a release-file setting, not a tested peak-yield level or a promise that every block in a vein stays inside those boundaries.
Why did I get an ore block instead of nuggets?
Silk Touch selects the Siftslate Siftite Ore block drop. Use a suitable pickaxe without Silk Touch when you need nuggets; Fortune applies to that nugget branch.

Mielon’s project identifies Siftite Ore among its Siftslate variants. The mining details and original textures come from the FjiiWlMl release package: its ore-generation data, biome entries, block loot table, tool tags and ingot recipe. The generation values are file settings for 1.1.2 Fabric 26.2; no mining-yield test is claimed.
