Decide what to do now
If you want to play tonight, identify the game you intend to launch before choosing a download. A Dungeons II purchase, a Java mod file, and a Bedrock pack solve different tasks. Use current availability to choose that route.
If you want the vanilla update, keep your existing world plan separate from an experimental mod setup. A community release timestamp says when its author published a file; it does not bring the official update forward.
For future announcements, check three fields together: edition, release channel, and version.
