Siftslate in Mielon's The Sift

Siftslate is Mielon's main dimension stone. Its ore variants cover Coal, Diamond, Emerald, Charoite and Siftite; 1.1.0 adds Siftslate Bricks and Sift Rubble. Rubble leads to Ichor Shards and Glass, while ore and enchanting routes serve different tasks.

Choose stone, ore or rubble before collecting

Siftslate is the main stone of Mielon’s The Sift. The author also names five Siftslate ore variants and, in the 1.1.0 release, a brick family and Sift Rubble. Those branches give a mining or building trip a specific target.

The quickest distinction is the desired result: ordinary stone for a palette, a named ore for a resource, Bricks for a finished building family, or Rubble for the Ichor Glass route. Sharing a stone name does not make these outputs interchangeable.

Identify the named ore variants

Author-named variant Resource task Next page or check
Coal Ore Coal collection Identify the actual ore name in your release
Diamond Ore Diamond collection Keep it separate from decorative stone
Emerald Ore Emerald collection Check the resource item you collect
Charoite Ore Enchanting material Charoite decisions
Siftite Ore Endgame material route Siftite upgrades

The current author description supplies these variant names, but no optimal ore height or complete distribution chart. Use the item or block name in your installed release to identify a find rather than assigning an ore from the color of this page’s concept image.

When you want Siftite equipment, mining is one part of the route. The dedicated Siftite page also covers the upgrade template, so gathering more ore will not replace a missing template. Charoite has a different destination at the Enchanting Table.

Use the 1.1.0 building branches

The 1.1.0 release notes add Siftslate Bricks with stairs, slabs and walls, plus Sift Rubble. Rubble has a chance to yield an Ichor Shard; the shard is used for Ichor Glass, and the glass for panes.

Branch Documented output or role Useful first sample
Main Siftslate stone Dimension’s base stone A small stone palette
Siftslate Bricks Bricks, stairs, slabs and walls A corner, step and wall segment
Sift Rubble Possible Ichor Shard source The shard branch for a glass sample
Ichor Glass Glass and panes after the shard stage Compare block and pane forms

For a build, choose the finished form before gathering in bulk. A staircase needs the stair branch; a window needs the glass branch. The release notes establish the material path; the exact Fabric 26.2 crafting examples below supply a version-specific starting point.

Follow the packaged crafting path

In the published 1.1.2 Fabric 26.2 file, the Siftslate loot table selects ordinary Siftslate with Silk Touch and Cobbled Siftslate through its other block-drop branch. The building recipes then give a concrete route from cobbled stone to Bricks.

Input in that package Arrangement Output
4 Cobbled Siftslate A two-by-two square 4 Siftslate Bricks
4 Ichor Shards A two-by-two square 1 Ichor Glass
6 Ichor Glass Two full rows of three 16 Ichor Glass Panes

For a small window test, the last recipe needs six glass blocks, which in this file’s shard recipe need twenty-four shards. This is a crafting calculation for that package, not an estimate of how much Rubble you must break: the shard-drop chance is a separate step.

The file also supplies stonecutting routes from Siftslate or Cobbled Siftslate into several finished forms. Inspect the available stonecutter result when you need a single shaped piece instead of a crafting batch. Use your installed recipe display if a modpack replaces these recipes.

Check natural terrain when planning a base

The same 1.1.0 notes change Sifter spawning to the Sift’s natural terrain blocks and explicitly name normal Siftslate in the discussion of Sifter grinders. This makes the distinction between natural stone and a constructed interior relevant to a base plan.

If your purpose is an interior, inspect which blocks you actually placed and check the advancement explanations supplied by your release. Do not infer that every block with Siftslate in its name has identical spawning behavior. A documented natural-terrain rule is more useful than treating the whole family as one material.

Connect the palette to wood and glass

Overgrown Willow supplies the mod’s wood family. Compare its structural parts with your stone sample before committing to a large palette. If you want Ichor Glass, follow the Rubble-to-Shard branch; collecting liquid Ichor in bottles is a different operation explained on the Ichor page.

Use the resource directory to choose another material task, or the first-trip guide to prepare a focused outing.
