Identify the meadow melee creature

Bloombuds are hostile enemies that appear in large groups throughout Singer’s Meadow. The Bloombud record compares their appearance and behavior with Vindicators. Its close-up gallery image is the useful reference for matching an unfamiliar creature to the name.

Watch the approach and slow strike

A Bloombud can stand idle or wander before it targets a hero. It then walks toward the target and performs a slow melee attack. The change from aimless movement to a directed approach is the cue to watch; a still image of an idle creature can hide its hostile role.

Scan the rest of the group before following one individual. A close camera view may show a single attacker while others remain nearby. As a practical reading of the recorded group behavior, keep the wider scene in view when the nearest Bloombud begins its approach.

Why the meadow can look peaceful

Singer’s Meadow is the first Sift region in the location record. The Singer and Echo Golems stand near its portal, and passive creatures share the landscape with enemies. That mixture explains why recognizing the animal matters more than judging the scenery’s mood.

A Nuzzle has a broad pink body and striped horns and is recorded as passive. The Bloombud’s Vindicator-like form and approach-to-strike behavior identify a different role. Use those creature-level cues as you move through the area.

Compare creatures in the same scenery

Hurler jumps and spits blue goo that slows on impact. Roamroot stays in place while turning to fire a small glob. Those ranged actions contrast with Bloombud closing the distance for a melee strike.

In a mixed encounter, trace a projectile to its caster while keeping the approaching group in view. If you are matching a screenshot, compare the close-up linked above with the surrounding creatures. Once identified, continue with the active meadow objective; the mob directory provides the next comparison when a nearby enemy behaves differently.
