Identify the stationary ranged creature
Roamroot is a hostile ranged mob native to Dungeons II’s Sift. The Roamroot record includes close-up, group, and firing screenshots, helping connect the name to an in-world sighting.
Track the shooter before following the glob
The Roamroot’s strongest cue is what its body does during an attack: it remains in one place and turns to face the target. In a group screenshot, identify each creature’s position first. In moving footage, watch whether the same position is retained across the aim and release, then follow the small glob toward its target.
The fixed firing position lets you connect repeated shots to the same source while other enemies move across the scene.
Contact damage is a distinct projectile result
Roamroot’s glob damages on contact; Hurler’s blue goo slows its target; Pollinator’s larger glob explodes after a delay. When reading a clip, distinguish the moment of contact from a later burst or a visible change in movement speed.
That comparison helps answer a practical identification question: if the enemy stays planted while turning and its small shot hits directly, Roamroot is the closest match among these records. If the enemy jumps before firing or puffs up before lobbing a larger projectile, use the corresponding creature guide instead.
Read groups and variant images accurately
The gallery includes both a group of Roamroots and a pair firing. Those images show how several shooters can occupy the scene. Follow each glob back to its caster rather than assuming that a cluster acts as one enemy.
A separately labelled Soul Corrupted Roamroot also appears in the gallery. Keep that label when comparing appearances. The history traces its reveal to September 19 official promotional gameplay; the firing screenshots supply the practical recognition cues.
Once the creature is identified, continue with your current Sift objective and watch the stationary firing positions around it. Compare Hurler or Pollinator if the projectile or movement does not fit.
