Emerald of Good Fortune is a Minecraft Dungeons 2 secret talisman found in a Lullaby Hills chest. When a defeated enemy drops Emeralds, the equipped talisman gives a chance of receiving extra Emeralds. That chance is 10%, 20% or 25%, depending on the talisman’s level.
It serves two useful goals: completing the secret talisman collection and choosing an Emerald-focused passive bonus for your loadout.
Where to find Emerald of Good Fortune
Look in Lullaby Hills, The Sift. The Wiki talisman list identifies the reward as a secret chest in that region.
James’s October 1 player walkthrough gives this approach:
- At the region entrance, take the pipe on the left.
- Descend from pipe to pipe, landing on the next pipe as you work toward the lower area.
- Defeat the enemies below and open the chest.
- Leave using the button-operated platform or fast travel to a minecart station.
The chest trip is a separate exploration task from recovering the stronghold’s stolen golem souls. You can use the Lullaby Hills guide to keep the regional objectives straight, then return here for the talisman’s effect.
Levels I–III and extra-Emerald chance
| Talisman level | Chance of extra Emeralds |
|---|---|
| I | 10% |
| II | 20% |
| III | 25% |
Talismans develop while equipped. Keep this talisman in one of your three slots when you want to raise its level, and check its current tier in the inventory. The jump from level I to II adds ten percentage points; II to III adds five.
The percentage is a chance, rather than the amount of extra currency paid out. A level III talisman therefore does not mean every enemy pays 25% more Emeralds. Its bonus applies to eligible drops, with the higher tier improving how often the extra-Emerald result occurs.
When the extra-emerald chance applies
The trigger is an enemy already dropping Emeralds. At that point, the equipped passive can add more. The item is useful when you are taking fights whose defeated enemies pay Emeralds; a kill that produces no Emerald drop has no extra-Emerald trigger described by this effect.
Compare that goal with the other loot passives before choosing a slot:
| Your goal | Talisman to compare |
|---|---|
| More currency from Emerald drops | Emerald of Good Fortune |
| Additional loot drops | Lucky Clover |
| A higher chance that mobs drop items | Looter’s Charm |
| Damage tied to the Emeralds you hold | Thrifty Pendant |
These effects point at different rewards. If you want currency for your next equipment purchase or upgrade, start with this currency bonus. If you are chasing an item drop, compare the loot effect instead. The full talisman list puts those choices alongside combat and companion bonuses.
Its place in the secret talisman checklist
This chest reward is one of eight prerequisites for Mosstrosity. Obtaining it moves the secret collection forward even when another talisman remains equipped for combat.
Once all eight are collected, go to the Mosstrosity secret dungeon in Howling Woods. The boss awards Wonderful Wheat, which finishes the nine-secret chain.
Chest, drops and unlock questions
Does it make every enemy drop Emeralds?
Its effect adds a chance of extra Emeralds when the enemy already drops them.
Does it have to stay equipped for the boss unlock?
Collecting it contributes to the eight-item requirement. Equipping it activates its passive bonus and develops its level.
Is the level III chance 25%?
Yes. The recorded chances are 10% at level I, 20% at II and 25% at III.
