Buy Minecraft Dungeons 2 on Steam

Minecraft Dungeons 2 is available on Steam as app 1912410. The official US store checked October 2, 2026 lists Standard at $29.99 and Deluxe at $49.99. The separate Deluxe Upgrade is $19.99 and requires access to the base game. Steam game listing · Steam Deluxe Upgrade.

The product title uses the official Roman numeral, Minecraft Dungeons II. Check that title and app ID before buying a key or installing a similarly named community project. The Sift is part of the base adventure; the upgrade is not required for it.

Check your Windows PC

The Steam store publishes these requirements:

Component Minimum Recommended
Operating system Windows 10 64-bit, version 1703 or newer Same listed Windows version
Processor Intel Core i3-8100 / AMD Ryzen 3 2200G or equivalent Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or equivalent or higher
RAM 8 GB 16 GB
Graphics GTX 1050 / RX 560 or equivalent dedicated GPU, at least 2 GB VRAM GTX 1060 / RX 580 or equivalent, at least 6 GB VRAM
DirectX 11 11

These are the publisher's Steam requirements, not a promise of a particular FPS on every PC. The listing requires a 64-bit processor and operating system. Check the installed system and GPU rather than comparing only a laptop’s marketing name.

Controller and keyboard choices

Steam currently lists Partial Controller Support with Xbox controllers, along with shared-screen co-op and Remote Play Together. Partial support should not be described as every controller navigating every launcher and login screen without a keyboard. Steam feature listing.

For keyboard movement, see the WASD and controls guide. Launch players report mouse movement; an author-maintained community WASD mod is a separate option, not a newly verified native setting.

Steam Deck: October 1 changes the launch answer

Mojang’s October 1, 2026 Steam announcement says the game should now be playable on Steam Deck. The developer still identifies missing on-screen keyboard functionality as a possible issue and says it is continuing work toward full verification. Read New Update: Steam Deck Playable.

That announcement supersedes the September 30 known-issues message saying Deck support was still being worked on. It does not supply a universal frame-rate benchmark or certify every Linux configuration. Apply the official Steam update first when assessing a launch-week Deck problem; an older DLL workaround is not the current official setup path.

Steam, Game Pass and your hero

Steam is a storefront purchase. PC Game Pass access does not issue a Steam copy, and Xbox Play Anywhere’s buy-once promise applies to its qualifying Xbox/Windows digital purchase route. Compare Game Pass access before choosing the store.

Crossplay and online hero progression are supported through the game’s Microsoft-account system. Link the intended account and choose the online hero mode if you want to move that hero between supported platforms. Use multiplayer and saves for party codes and mode separation.

For a Steam login failure, use the 0064 guide only when that is the actual displayed code. For the dimension and story context, continue to the Dungeons 2 hub.
