Is Minecraft Dungeons 2 on Game Pass?
Yes. Minecraft Dungeons 2 is included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, according to Xbox’s game-specific September announcement. It joined on September 29, 2026, with cloud, console, handheld and PC named in the announcement. The Xbox store still lists Standard with Ultimate when checked October 2. The included product is the base game. That gives access to the Sift adventure without buying Deluxe solely for the dimension. A subscription remains subject to its active membership and catalog terms; it is not a permanent purchased Steam license.
Match the plan to the device

The last row is a different arrangement. The Xbox store labels both included cloud access and streaming of an owned copy. A plan that permits streaming your purchase does not automatically include the purchase itself.
For Essential or Premium, do not infer Dungeons 2 catalog inclusion from generic wording about a plan’s game library. The checked game-specific launch announcement names Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Inspect the signed-in game’s access button and entitlement description for your account if your plan differs.
Install through the access route you have
On PC, use the Xbox/Windows route associated with the subscribing Microsoft account. On console, use that account’s current game access. If the store asks you to buy the game, compare the signed-in account and exact plan against the product’s entitlement rather than purchasing a second copy immediately.
A PC Game Pass subscription does not put a purchased copy in Steam. You can choose Steam as a separate storefront, but a shortcut or account link is not a Steam license. See the Steam guide for its purchase and hardware requirements.

Deluxe Upgrade and DLC
Deluxe adds four hero skins, the Soul Cape, a cosmetic Blub pet, and access to DLC 1 and 2 as released. Buying that upgrade does not purchase the base game. Use price and editions to compare the base purchase, full Deluxe purchase and upgrade. The Sift’s base-game presence is a separate fact from future expansion entitlement.
Online parties, heroes and rewards
Mojang supports up to four heroes in local, online or mixed co-op. Online console sessions also need the applicable platform subscription. Online hero data follows platform accounts linked to the same Microsoft account; offline heroes use a separate mode. Do not assume a transfer process is available. Read multiplayer and cross-progression before creating the hero you plan to keep across devices.
Cape eligibility can have its own play or watch conditions. A qualifying Game Pass session may satisfy the Hero Cape play condition, while Aurora is a livestream reward for Java and Bedrock. Use the cape guide for those separate rules, then return to the Dungeons 2 hub for the adventure.
