How to get the Minecraft Aurora Cape
Watch an eligible Minecraft Dungeons 2 livestream for 15 minutes on Twitch or 3 minutes on TikTok, claim the reward code, then redeem it through Minecraft’s official page. The Aurora Cape is for Minecraft Java and Bedrock, not an equippable Dungeons 2 cape. Mojang describes the campaign in its official capes and promotions article.
As checked October 2, 2026, the published campaign window has not reached its October 14 end date. Participation still depends on a rewards-enabled live stream, the platform’s reward flow, geographic availability and remaining supply. A stream showing Dungeons 2 without the reward enabled does not establish eligibility.
Twitch and TikTok steps
- Open a live Dungeons 2 stream participating in the Aurora Cape reward campaign.
- Follow the platform’s campaign instructions and complete the watch requirement: 15 minutes on Twitch or 3 minutes on TikTok.
- Claim the code through Twitch’s Drops Inventory or the TikTok notification/reward flow.
- Open the official Minecraft redemption page and use the Aurora Cape section with the Microsoft account where you want the reward.
- Complete redemption before the code deadline and check your Java or Bedrock cape selection for that account.
The platform distributes the code. Minecraft’s site redeems it. Keep those two steps separate if your watch timer completes but you do not yet have a code. This page does not supply a shared code or claim that an untested code is valid.
Watch and redemption deadlines
| Stage | Published deadline |
|---|---|
| Complete the eligible livestream campaign | October 14, 2026 |
| Redeem a received Aurora Cape code | October 31, 2026 |
Mojang’s campaign article labels its watch window September 29, 9:00 AM PST to October 14, 11:59 PM PST. We retain that source label because other campaign records use PT and different start-time wording. Near the cutoff, check the live platform campaign countdown rather than relying on a timezone conversion from the blog’s PST label. The October 14 campaign date and October 31 redemption date are different deadlines.
The official redemption page independently states the October 31 code deadline. Receiving a code before October 14 does not remove the need to redeem it by the later deadline.
Eligibility and regional conditions
The official terms require a valid Microsoft account and the relevant Minecraft Java or Bedrock game, sold separately. Internet access is required. The campaign is limited to one reward per person/account, subject to availability and geographic limitations; additional platform terms apply. Consult the official promotion terms for your region before spending time on a stream.
Dungeons 2 gameplay is the stream topic, but the Aurora reward’s destination is Java and Bedrock. Buying Dungeons 2 Standard or Deluxe alone does not grant this stream reward. Conversely, completing the watch task does not purchase Dungeons 2 or unlock The Sift in that separate game.
Other Minecraft Dungeons 2 capes
The Soul Cape comes with Deluxe. The Hero Cape campaign has different conditions involving playing the original Dungeons and logging into Dungeons 2 with the same Microsoft account before December 31, 2026. Mojang says qualifying access can include Game Pass or joining a friend’s couch session. These are distinct rewards; do not substitute Aurora watch instructions for either one. Official cape eligibility.
Use editions and DLC to compare purchase entitlements, or codes and keys to identify the correct redemption route. For the playable dimension rather than its promotional appearance, return to the Dungeons 2 hub.
