Minecraft Dungeons 2 Standard costs $29.99 and Deluxe costs $49.99 on the US Steam and PlayStation stores checked October 2, 2026. Standard includes the base game and its Sift adventure. The Steam upgrade listing sells the add-on separately. Buying an upgrade alone does not buy the base game. Choose the upgrade for the same storefront where you have game access; online cross-progression does not itself transfer storefront licenses.

Mojang lists these benefits in the official game FAQ. The Blub pet is cosmetic: it follows your hero without contributing attacks to a combat build. That purchase benefit is separate from the Blub entity guide.
For a first trip through the base story, choose Standard or a qualifying subscription if those are the features you want. Deluxe makes sense when the cosmetics and future DLC entitlement are worth the price difference to you. We do not assign value to unannounced DLC contents.
What is known about Minecraft Dungeons 2 DLC?
Deluxe promises DLC 1 and DLC 2 when released. The checked official edition description does not provide a complete name, release date, region list or separate price for both packs. Keep those purchases distinct from the playable base game; buying an entitlement now is not evidence that both expansions are downloadable now. Official DLC wording.
The two-pack promise also does not establish that every future expansion will be included. Check a later announcement against the actual product name before treating it as part of Deluxe.
Subscription access and platforms
Xbox’s game-specific announcement includes the base game in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch. The published game supports Steam/Windows, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Online console co-op requires the relevant platform subscription. Your game price and your online subscription cost are separate parts of the access decision.
Cape promotions are separate entitlements
The Aurora Cape stream promotion rewards Minecraft Java and Bedrock, while the Deluxe Soul Cape is a Dungeons 2 cosmetic. Preorder extras have their own eligibility; a purchase made after launch should not be treated as a new preorder. Follow the Aurora Cape guide for dates and redemption rules.
