The original Steam 0064 thread confirms players encountered this exact code at launch. It does not establish a single cause shared by all affected accounts. As checked October 2, 2026, the official notice does not define 0064 or say that a specific local workaround repairs it in every case.

An account error and a process crash can both prevent play, but they need different reports. Keep a screenshot of the exact message and identify whether it appears before login, after linking, on hero selection or when joining a party.
A short retry checklist

Offline mode has a progression consequence

Use the developer’s Dungeons 2 bug-report entry. Include the exact code and the sequence that triggers it. State what changed after the retry, including whether the outcome stayed the same. Do not publish passwords or redemption keys in the report.
