Identify the clawed melee Sculker
Stalker is a swift Sculker with long-reaching claws in Dungeons II’s Sift. The Stalker record places it naturally in The Carapace and records summons by Monarch, Harmonizer, and Dartback.
Watch for the follow-through after the claws
The close-range action is longer than two separate swipes. The Stalker strikes with both claws, spins in place, and then moves forward in a damaging dash. If you are reviewing a hit taken after the apparent end of a melee exchange, check whether it came from that final movement rather than from an unseen third claw strike.
At greater distance the recognizable preparation is both arms drawing back before the lunge. The brief spectral afterimage helps connect the movement to Stalker. Follow the direction of travel: it advances toward the fight, while the Scavenger’s recorded dodge carries it backward away from an approaching hero.
Recognize its role in three larger encounters
Monarch and Dartback each have a recorded summon of two Stalkers and two Scavengers. The combination puts fast claw attackers beside ranged enemies that retreat and leave soul fire. A player tracking only the boss can miss which of those supporting creatures caused a hit.
Harmonizer also lists Stalkers among its possible summoned allies. In that encounter, the mini-boss can link to living allies with buffing beams. Identify a Stalker by its movement and claws first, then check whether a beam connects it to the larger creature. Its species and its current support state are separate parts of the scene.
Use the Carapace as the regional clue
The Carapace guide covers the location where Stalkers also appear naturally. Seeing one there does not require a boss summon; seeing one next to a boss does not make it the boss itself. Match the region, the nearby enemy group, and the attack sequence together.
For an unfamiliar Sculker, use the action that changes distance to select the right guide. A Hunter pulls the hero toward itself. A Stalker draws back its arms and lunges. A Scavenger retreats from an approaching hero. Once you identify the Stalker, keep watching through the spin and dash instead of ending the sequence at the second claw.
