Minecraft Dungeons 2 on Xbox
Minecraft Dungeons 2 is available for Xbox Series X|S, with Windows access through its Xbox Play Anywhere offering. The Xbox US Standard listing checked October 2, 2026 shows $29.99 and inclusion with Game Pass Ultimate. The official Xbox game page identifies the supported console and PC platforms.
Standard includes the base adventure and The Sift. If that is your goal, Deluxe is an optional purchase for its extras. Check the selected product name before paying: a Deluxe Upgrade supplements game access and does not replace the base game.
What Xbox Play Anywhere covers
A qualifying digital Xbox Play Anywhere purchase lets you play on Xbox and Windows PC with the same Microsoft account. Xbox says saves, achievements and add-ons follow that entitlement, while simultaneous play is limited to one device session. Xbox Play Anywhere rules.
This purchase route matters if you want both Series X|S and a Windows PC copy. The Play Anywhere rules apply to participating digital purchases through the Xbox/Windows storefronts; they do not turn a Steam copy or physical disc into that buy-once entitlement.
Dungeons 2’s own online cross-progression is a related but broader system. Mojang stores online heroes on its backend and asks players to link all platform accounts to the same Microsoft account. That can carry an online hero across supported platforms, but each platform still needs game access. Read multiplayer and progression before changing devices.
Game Pass and cloud play
Xbox’s game-specific launch announcement lists Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Ultimate covers the game on the supported console/PC/cloud routes in that announcement; PC Game Pass is the PC access route. September Game Pass announcement.

Local and online co-op
Mojang supports up to four heroes in couch, online or mixed co-op. Arrange the intended local controllers and hero accounts before inviting other devices. Console online co-op needs the applicable online subscription, as the official game page states.
Use the eight-character party code for a named cross-platform group. Keep the total at four heroes, counting local players. If you want to continue that hero online later, create it in online mode: the game’s offline mode has separate progression.
