Lullaby Blade applies Soulsick on hit

Lullaby Blade is the unique Cookiecutter in Minecraft Dungeons 2. Its fixed effect, Soul Cursed, applies Soulsick to enemies on hit. That connects the weapon to a status-based playstyle: one part of the item applies the status, while the rolled effects shown on your copy supply other properties.

Read those names in order. Lullaby Blade is the item you equip. Soul Cursed is its fixed effect. Soulsick is the status applied to the enemy. Keeping them separate makes it easier to understand why a Blacksmith reroll changes one line on the item while the distinctive on-hit behavior stays attached.

Separate the status from the rolled effect

Name on the item or target Role What to check
Lullaby Blade Unique Cookiecutter weapon Item identity and power
Soul Cursed Fixed unique effect Applies Soulsick on hit
Soulsick Status on the enemy The affected target, rather than your weapon’s rolled effects
Bully, Reaper or another compatible effect Random property on your copy Its own condition and tier

The fixed effect cannot be rerolled. The item record does not give Soulsick a numerical duration, damage value or healing conversion. Its documented role is on-hit status application.

When Bully is the comparison you want

Bully increases damage to enemies affected by a negative status: 25% at tier I, 35% at tier II and 50% at tier III. Its condition makes it relevant to a status-oriented weapon comparison, but the bonus belongs to the Bully roll. Merely owning Lullaby Blade does not give your item Bully unless the item’s rolled effects include it.

For a practical comparison, read the rolled effects on two Lullaby Blade drops. A copy with Bully serves a damage goal against affected enemies; a copy with Reaper serves soul collection. Both retain Soul Cursed. Choose the property for the task you want the weapon to perform instead of treating the fixed status effect and the random bonus as interchangeable.

For the first hit, check the target’s existing status. Bully applies when the enemy is affected by a negative status; the source does not specify whether Soul Cursed applies before that same hit’s damage is evaluated. An enemy that already has a negative status meets the stated condition.

The ten compatible random effects

The item record lists these ten options for found or rerolled Lullaby Blades. The percentages describe each effect at tiers I–III; they are not an upgrade ladder for the fixed Soul Cursed effect.

Effect What it changes I II III
Bully Increase damage against enemies with a negative status. 25% 35% 50%
Critical Edge Increase damage dealt by critical hits. 10% 20% 30%
Critical Hit Increase critical-hit chance. 5% 10% 15%
Knockback Increase attack knockback. 15% 20% 30%
Looter Chance to receive additional loot drops. 20% 40% 60%
Persistence Increase damage based on the stated percentage of missing health. 10% 15% 20%
Raider Chance for higher-rarity loot drops. 1% 2% 3%
Reaper Increase souls gained. 25% 35% 45%
Shackler Chance to apply Chained on hit. 10% 15% 25%
Sharpness Increase melee attack damage. 10% 20% 30%

Choose between damage, control and resources

Bully and Sharpness both address damage, but Bully specifies the enemy’s status condition. Critical Hit increases critical chance, whereas Critical Edge changes the damage of critical hits. Compare the event each line describes before judging a larger percentage as automatically better.

Shackler introduces a separate chance to apply Chained. That is a different status name from Soulsick and a different source on the weapon: the rolled effect rather than fixed Soul Cursed. If your copy has Shackler, read its tier’s 10%, 15% or 25% chance as that line’s proc chance, not a probability assigned to Soul Cursed.

For resource goals, Reaper increases souls gained, Looter concerns additional loot drops and Raider concerns higher-rarity loot. Those are three separate outcomes. A player collecting souls for active equipment has a different comparison to make from a player looking for more or rarer loot. Use the build guide to place that choice alongside your armor, artifacts and talismans.

Reroll the part you intend to change

Read the number and tiers of rolled effects from your actual Lullaby Blade tooltip. A Blacksmith at level 3 can reroll a selected random effect on unique gear using Echo Shards. The first reroll costs one shard; repeated rerolls increase in cost up to twenty. Check the displayed cost and your current effect before replacing a useful roll.

If the problem is that your Lullaby Blade has the wrong random property for your task, the compatible pool is the relevant list. If the problem is the weapon’s power, that is a separate upgrade using Emeralds. If the question concerns a library enchantment, use the Enchantsmith guide. These operations change different parts of a weapon.

Lullaby Blade and Cookiecutter

Cookiecutter is the base pairing in the weapons list. Lullaby Blade adds the fixed on-hit status identity. Compare actual power and effects when choosing between drops, and keep the status role distinct from a final damage ranking.

For Sift travel, you can use this weapon as part of a status-focused equipment comparison. Its name does not establish a Lullaby Hills drop location. Regional exploration and the Sift’s tides have their own rules; the item record is the source for the effect described here.
