Identify the barrier caster

Trapper is a hostile Dungeons II Sculker that creates magical barriers around heroes. The Trapper record places the creature in The Sift. The surrounding barrier is its distinctive interaction, useful when matching an unfamiliar enemy to a name.

Identify the source of confinement

A barrier appearing around a hero is the key event to trace. Look outward from the newly enclosed space and identify the Sculker responsible for the cast. The visible event to look for is a new enclosure around the hero.

This also separates the Trapper from ordinary landscape obstacles. A wall already present in the dungeon is part of the environment; a barrier conjured around a hero belongs to an enemy interaction. In footage, the moment the surrounding effect appears is often more useful for identifying the Trapper than a still image taken after several effects overlap.

Understand its place among Carapace enemies

The Carapace guide covers the region where the Trapper is recorded naturally. Its Sculker neighbors have distinct roles: Hunter changes the hero’s position by pulling, Stalker moves forward to attack with claws, and Scavenger fights at range with explosive souls. Trapper changes the immediate space around the hero.

As a practical reading of these roles, identify both the source of a barrier and any other attacker already acting around it.

Read the Monarch association precisely

The Trapper entry lists summoning by Monarch, while the Monarch’s detailed roar description names two Stalkers and two Scavengers. The broad Trapper association should therefore not be read as a promise that every normal roar wave includes one. Identify the enemy actually present before applying its barrier behavior to a boss encounter.

The running render and the Soul Corrupted image help match the creature and its variant label. The barrier statement supplies the interaction.

If you came here because a hero became enclosed, the useful result is naming the barrier caster and separating its action from a pull or dash. Continue to the Sculker boss guide when the encounter is part of a boss room; use the Carapace page when your next task is navigating the region.
